This 1923 Norfolk & Western Railway square steel date nail measures 2-1/2″ long and has a 1/4″ OD square shaft with a raised date. The nail was soaked in vinegar to remove the creosote. There is some shaft corrosion on this early nail, otherwise it’s in excellent condition. These early square nails are getting harder to find in this condition. USPS shipping.
